Now only five days until the journey I have been waiting for three years begins and it doesn’t event feel like it is happening.
I have stuck true to my policy of ‘last minute is best minute’ meaning in the past few days, flights have been booked, visas have been applied for and granted (yes Australia, I have been allowed to enter), Insurance has been purchased (I feel like I need to get the full £5,000,000 worth of medical cover), vaccinations have already been shot into me (I kind of fell in love with my nurse who I saw once every week for three weeks), the only thing I have not done is PACK! – Oh, and manage to get that beach body ready for spring break… But ya’know sometimes back fat is best.
I have left my home city of 6 years, sunny Manchester UK. I must admit bidding farewell to my Manchester family was excruciating. It involved a trip to Buxton and a rather long pub crawl and then one of my favourite songs being played and a 15+ strong circle of my nearest and dearest singing along (yes I cried). I also got a t-shirt signed by them all. I have spent the last two weeks back in my rearing town of Nottingham with my family and spending quality time with my niece (my mother also did a sky dive), it has been bliss, but it is now time to go.
I get a fantastic day on Friday with my family to say goodbye with an old fashioned St. Patricks day knees up. Then on to Mexico!
… For now I must go and purchase some toiletries, will update you on preparations and useful stuff shortly. Then when I get on that plane the good stuff starts.
Hi All, It has been a while…
Happy to inform you all that the journey starts again in just under two weeks. Having worked for the last three years in a great job in the great city of Manchester, I am now off on my world trip… You may recall me talking about it just over three years ago when I returned from backpacking around Europe. Continue reading “Soon it begins again!”
One of my closest friends is a born traveller as well, having already done many places last summer he took a trip around South America and create this fucking amazing video that can give anyone the painful feels of wanderlust. Take a look it has a great traveller soundtrack as well for when you’re en route somewhere with just yourself and your thoughts of “how cool is this place”. Personally I think it is amazing, rough cut and gives a real taste of the adventure! Plus he falls off his mountain bike which is always a bonus!
Enjoy. Please let me know your thoughts as i’ll pass them on. It personally makes me envious and want to get on a plane to South America right now.
So I was once stripping wallpaper for my parents home back in Nottingham, UK. I love DIY so I offered, I was supposed to get the entire living room (family room) stripped in the day. I remember procrastinating and watching Spongebob, it got to two o’clock in the afternoon, just before Fairly Odd Parents and I thought “Shit!” and got right to it. In the first stroke of the wallpaper remover thing I noticed a piece fall on the floor in the shape on India… There was no way I was going to get this finished before my dad got home from work. Then it begun… Continue reading “I did this, by chance.”
I thought I would post something a little different, many of you may have already seen this. The other day the Nasa/ESA Hubble telescope released an image, an image of our neighbouring Andromeda galaxy that will truly blow your mind. The human mind is not made to comprehend how large the universe is, but with these images it kinda of helps… and shit is it amazing.

Lets finally start writing up my trip around Europe.
Amsterdam was my first stop travelling along – start off hard was the thinking, I was travelling alongside a friends at this point who made it a lot easier to ‘climatise’ to travelling independently (with a friend I know). Continue reading “A steep step.”
I have not posted in a while, nor have I gotten to writing up my previous trips, or anything for that matter… Some would say I am an awful blogger.
But I’m off on a trip tomorrow that will see me in Vienna, Zagreb, Pula… OUTLOOK FESTIVAL, Slovenia (some cities), Hopefully finally getting to see the Plitvice lakes after just missing them last time, Cologne and Munich.
So should hopefully get this thing going.
Just a little bit of fun we had in Bruge (and also hobbiton)
To live your life is to breathe,
but what of the life you lead?
Does it suffocate you?
Or allow you to be free.
For some reason you guys seem to like what I do, and I haven’t really got going yet with the posts. I am getting support on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and here, it really is amazing knowing you’re all out there, the comments you make seem to speak a language that all of us share.
KEEP IT COMING!
